I came to “know” Juli through hearing her on numerous other Christian podcasts - Focus on the Family, Family Talk with James Dobson, and many others. I’ve now come to enjoy listening to her on her own show. The advice provided by Juli and her guests is always top notch, and I particularly appreciate her transparency about the ways in which she has resolved issues in her own marriage - and her husband’s willingness to allow Juli to share their personal history.

The background chatter on some episodes is VERY distracting for me personally. Otherwise, great wisdom, great guests. Huge respect for Juli!

I love this podcast so much! Dr. Slattery covers important topics in an easy-to-understand way, and she always makes me think more deeply about subjects related to sexuality. I can’t recommend this enough if you want to understand biblical sexuality better.

Thanks for your show. I appreciate the guests and topics you choose. Your fearless approach to tough questions is inspiring for me. I am a father of 4 boys and husband to 1 beautiful and talented artist/ teacher. We have had our own struggles, but are currently making up lost ground through a lot of work. Shows like yours and groups through Pure Desire have made a big impact on our journey to intimacy. There is a topic I wondered if you would look into tackling? Parental Estrangement. We have recently become aware of several marriages that end in divorce and one spouse turns the children (or adult children) away from the other spouse. I don't know much about it, but apparently it's increasing. It also involves the topics of narcissism, Christian hierarchy in marriage, and trauma. Thank you for your show!

I have listend to this podcast for years and find it consistently Biblical, practical and applicable to people of all ages. It challenges my thinking and helps me stay current with today's issues but it also has helped me be a better follower of Jesus, more loving wife and mom. Exposure to the various speakers has been life-changing.

The episodes with Laurence Koo are gems to further a thoughtful Christ-centered discipleship when finding our way in the LGBTQ arena whether you are single, married, gay or straight which points to larger questions concerning identity, family, friendship and community.

This has become my go-to podcast! There is so much wisdom and respect in the conversations. I love hearing biblical truth in a way that is inviting and loving yet convicting as well. You hold true to the Word and embrace the need for these discussions and that is refreshing. Thank you!

I look forward to each episode of Dr Juli’s podcast. I have learned so much from listening to her podcasts! It all started when I read Rethinking Sexuality and the pastor and his wife leading the class recommended listening to the Podcasts. I was hooked! From marriage challenges to sexuality and gender challenges, I have never been uninterested in any of the podcasts. They are informative and challenge my thinking. Keep up the great work, Dr Juli!

Thank you Juli for addressing all the hard topics and esp infidelity. Not an easy topic, and your podcast on a “spouses shame “ nailed it ! I went through this 9 years ago and I could relate to it all. I found that having a knowledgeable support network was survival along w good counsel, reading books , boundaries etc. Thank you. !!

This podcast is exactly what the Christian community needs to hear. The truth and perspective Juli offers is spot on and not only relatable but also very practical. Those walking around with wounds from sexual sin or a faulty sexual perspective can find healing and honesty here. Praise God for the work he is doing in Java With Juli.

I read Juli’s book rethinking sexuality and it reopened a huge infected wound I had in my heart since years ago (I was abused) and the key part of this wound is that even after 3 years of walking with Christ it wasn’t healed, AT ALL! And the reason of this is that in church we talked like sexuality had NOTHING to do with God and/or our spiritual life which can’t be further from the truth! Me and my fiancé have been really blessed through the work that AI does and we absolutely recommend it and we pray that the holy spirit keeps it in growing this REVIVAL!

Juli is so fun to listen to. Her voice is soothing and she makes any potentially uncomfortable topic seem so approachable. I love how she presents sexual issues with solutions though a biblical worldview. Authentic Intimacy is helping people have sexual integrity in every walk of life. I’m not a big of a fan of her part time co-host, as she can come across as a little immature and negative at times. I wish she would listen and ask questions more instead of give her opinions. Overall, a great podcast and one I’ve recommended often. The purity movement topic episodes are ones I have specifically shared because they are wonderful. I hope this conversation continues on the podcast!
